The Holidays are Coming

As the Holidays are approaching there are many upcoming crafts fairs, art shows, and other events. This NEW newsletter will be sent out when there are events or exciting happenings within my art world that I would like to share with you.

First and foremost, I joined a studio! I am now part of the Perry Street Collective located in ReCreative Spaces in Mount Rainier. This is a great opportunity to work with and near other inspiring people. It has also opened up many opportunities for me to display and sell art.

I am currently displaying art at Artomatic. Artomatic is a pop up art show that runs for about a month and a half. Typically they find an office building that is in transition (sometimes in renovation, sometimes demolition) and they use that space as a giant art gallery where the artists can transform their space. I have artwork on the 4th floor in area 7, near the bar. I am showcasing some printmaking techniques that I learned over the summer, a couple of recent portraits, and a large amount of paper flowers.

Speaking of paper flowers, I have recently received a few commissions for paper flowers for weddings. I have high hopes for this business. Make sure you head to my website to find out more information about ordering your own paper flower bouquets.

Last but not least the Takoma Park Art and Humanities commission is wrapping up its fall season of community programs. Winter programs will be announced soon.

I've had a slight date conflict so that last day I will be at Artomatic is December 11th 7-10pm. But of course you should go anytime it is open and works for you!
