2022 Productive and Quiet

2022 ended up being a good year for me and my art. For the past several years I have set the goal of showing my art publicly two times a year. Last year I was able to show 4 times, and had 2 shows running simultaneously.

I started my year with my now yearly showing at the Strawberry Patch Cafe (Formerly Cafe Ella). This Cafe is located up the street from my work, and I am as much of a regular there as I am anywhere. While the show was hanging a community member bought Bonny Doon Cliffs. Which was my first sale of the year.

Over the summer two of my piece were accept to be part of the gift shop at the new location of the Compound Gallery in Emeryville, CA. I have since sold Capitola Fog from that opportunity.

Then in the fall I had two of may painting hung at the Government building in Santa Cruz as part of the SLV strong exhibit. I chose to hang a painting of Lock Lomond and my regular spot Quail Hollow. Thanks to the SLV museum for organizing that.

Finally, a very last minute show was organized at the newly acquired and new home of the Pajaro Valley Arts Center. The Arts center got the keys to their new home, the Porter Building and the city of Watsonville was hosting a Wine and Art Walk a couple weeks later. So a last minute show of both student and teacher work was put together. I love the PVA and felt honored to be included.

I can not imagine 2023 will be as wonderful as this past year, but here is to hoping!
