My Groove

Quarantine has been good for my art practice. I have weaved so much since March and it feels good. I love learning new things to do with yarn, trying new materials. Textile arts is filled with possibilities. I feel very happy with my artistic process at the moment.

Several months ago I hung up some paintings and weavings at Cafe Ella, near my work in Watsonville. It felt good to finally show my art again, and I received some really positive comments. I thought showing my artwork would not happen this year due to COVID but it did and I am proud of myself. Below are some pictures from the show at Ella's.

Some more good news is that my art was accepted into a show at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History. This will be the first time I show in a museum. The show opening in January.
